How to play
The current game is a linear chain. Build as many valid links as you can, keep your three hearts alive, and solve by submitting the exact target word.
Board legend
Start from the current card. Finish on the target.
The chain grows from the last real card toward the target preview. Your job is to close the final gap by typing the exact target word at the right time.
The next word must connect from here.
You still need more accepted links.
Submit this exact word to solve the round.
Core loop
Start from the current word
Read the line first. The left card is your current word, and the target preview stays visible until you solve it.
Submit one word
Type one connected word from the current last real card and press Enter.
Grow the chain
If the link works, a new card appears in the chain. If it fails, the chain stays put and you lose one of three hearts.
Finish on the target
When you are close enough, submit the exact target word to finish.
How this UI works
The old free-drag canvas explanation is obsolete. The current game is a linear chain with mode switching, reroll, and node tools around it. You move through the path one accepted card at a time.
Desktop and mobile behave differently
Desktop shows the chain left-to-right in a draggable strip. Mobile stacks the chain top-to-bottom. You do not drag individual cards anymore.
Reroll before you begin
Infinite Mode can reroll Start, Target, or both before your first move.
Undo and Reset unlock later
Undo and Reset stay hidden until you have at least one accepted bridge word.
Top bar controls
Home returns to Infinite practice, the trophy opens the Daily leaderboard, Daily and infinity switch modes, ? opens the compact guide, the search icon opens Explore, and How to play starts the guided tour.
Node menu and discovery graph
Use this word
Try a discovered or existing word from the chain again without retyping it.
Reconnect from here
Jump back to an older card and continue the path from there.
Open discovery graph
Open a side panel of accepted links you have already found in this round.
Remove or report
Remove only the latest bridge card or report a bad node/connection for review.
Discovery graph rule
The discovery graph is based on links you have already earned in the current round. It is not a spoiler map or a built-in solution.
Winning and ranking
To solve a round
- The final submitted word must be the exact target term or an approved target alias.
- The last connection into that target still has to be accepted.
- The round ends automatically. There is no separate Finish button.
Daily ranking order
- More valid links
- More hearts remaining
- Faster time
What counts as connected?
Good bridges have a direct, explainable relationship. If the connection only works as a vague vibe, it is usually too weak.
Usually accepted
Museum -> Gallery, Sketchbook -> Artist, Garlic -> Cooking
Usually rejected
Broad vibes, weak event context, or a longer phrase that only repeats the current word.
Good relation types
Type, part, creator, place, tool, use, role, cause-effect, or a named phrase with a clear real-world connection.
Example solve
Word Wired Weird is built for surprising, funny, and explainable links, not hidden trivia. If a path sounds absurd but every hop is defensible, you are playing it correctly.
